February. The month of love, Winter Olympics, and the beginning of midterms is coming to a close. Overall, the month has been pretty busy for me. But I’m *never* too busy to try out new products. I’m going to keep this short and sweet because let’s be honest I’m not rolling in the dough and I don’t get sent PR.
Unwash – Bio-Cleansing Conditioner
The first time I tried this product I low-key didn’t like it. It is one of those shampoo/conditioner hybrids that does not suds up at all. It is similar to the DevaCurl one that has 0 suds. Alas, I gave this shampoo an unfair chance. I used this product when my hair was super greasy and it just didn’t stand cleaning my hair completely. However, the next few times I used this shampoo, I used it when I needed to shower but my hair itself wasn’t ready to be shampooed again. This stuff is magic for that. It leaves my hair shiny, silky, and more manageable. The product also has a delicious fruity-berries and watermelon-scent. I did use a conditioner plus this product, even though it says it replaces conditioner. My hair needs all the moisture it can get so I used my Herbal Essences conditioner or Briogeo conditioner with this product. This product is a whopping $29, but it is really amazing. Plus, the brand is cruelty-free and made in the US. Also, the packaging fills my graphic-designing soul with happiness and hope.
L.A. Girl Pro Coverage – HD Long Wear Illuminating Foundation – White
I saw this product in CVS and I knew I had to get my hands on it. For $8.99 this product is the bomb. I have the hardest time finding foundation shades that are light enough for me, especially in the winter. This foundation comes in a white shade, which can be used a lightener for other foundations. I have been mixing this product in with my Milk Blur Liquid Matte Foundation and my Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation. This mix-in product works well with everything. I think it actually makes my foundations glide on easier. Plus it comes with a PUMP! Yes, folks, you heard it here first! It is a drugstore miracle. But seriously I have been using this stuff non-stop. I’m really tempted to go back to CVS and buy my actual foundation shade and see what I think of the foundation itself. For the price, it is definitely worth checking out if you have really pale skin or if you want to make your summer shade your winter shade.
And last but *certainly* not least…
Physicians Formula Refreshment Cucumber & Bamboo Eye De-Puffer
I had tried the Milk Makeup Cooling Water and I was using it daily. But then I heard Tati Westbrook, a beauty blogger on Youtube, mention this product so I decided to give it a try since it is basically the same product. This product retails for $9.95 with 0.45 oz of products. Comparatively, the Milk Makeup is $24, but you get 1.2 oz. So, honestly, the Physicians Formula isn’t exactly a great deal. However, I do actually like it more than the Milk Makeup Cooling Water. The Physicians Formula sinks right into the skin and it has a much more intense cooling effect. My under eyes feel really hydrated after using this. I can’t really speak to the de-puffing claim, but the Milk Makeup stick didn’t really de-puff either. If you are into these new stick products go pick up this product. The cooling effect in itself is totally worth it and I love putting this product on in the morning.
